Zen Combat School

Safeguarding
At Zen Combat School, safeguarding is central to everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students—children, young people, and adults alike. All of our instructors are DBS-checked, First Aid trained, and hold recognised safeguarding qualifications, ensuring they are fully equipped to protect and promote the wellbeing of every participant. Our Lead Safeguarding Officer, Karen Ashton, provides dedicated oversight, ensuring all safeguarding practices meet current UK standards.
For full transparency and reassurance, all risk assessments, safeguarding policies, and DBS documentation are available to view at reception within the centre. Our insurance certification is also clearly displayed on-site. We promote a culture of respect, awareness, and open communication, where every individual feels valued, safe, and confident both on and off the mats. Any concerns are handled promptly with professionalism, sensitivity, and strict confidentiality.
